Money That Never Arrived
Deposits recorded but never cleared, and invoices marked paid against a payment the bank has no record of.
Home/Services/Bookkeeping/Bank Reconciliation Only
A focused engagement for owners who keep their own books and want the accounts tied out by somebody who does this every day.
Reconciliation is the step that turns a list of entries into a verified record. Until the accounts agree with the statements, the file is a set of claims about what happened rather than a description of it.
It is also the step that most self-managed files skip or half-finish, usually because a small difference appeared once and got forced into balance. That difference does not go away. It sits in the file and quietly corrupts every period after it.
Owners who genuinely enjoy the daily bookkeeping and are good at it, but know that reconciliation is where the risk lives. Also businesses with an in-house person handling entry who would benefit from an outside check on the accounts.
It is a narrow engagement on purpose. You keep control of the file and the daily work, and the verification step is handled by someone whose only job in your file is to make sure it agrees with reality.
Three things this changes once it is running properly.
Deposits recorded but never cleared, and invoices marked paid against a payment the bank has no record of.
Subscriptions and fees still leaving the account long after the business stopped needing them, visible once someone reads the lines.
The same expense captured by both a feed and a manual entry, inflating costs in a way no report will point out on its own.
Sometimes the first reconciliation reveals that the underlying record has drifted further than a single period can absorb. When that happens we tell you straight away, with what we found and how far back it appears to reach.
From there it is your call whether to scope a cleanup or to draw a line and start clean from a chosen date. Both are legitimate answers, and knowing the size of the problem is what lets you choose.

The first conversation is about your business and where it stands, not a pitch.
